Englisch - Zeitformen
Im Englischen gibt es im Prinzip 6 verschiedene Zeiten. 3 davon für die Vergangenheit, die Gegenwart und 2 für die Zukunft. Zudem gibt es für zu den jeweiligen Zeiten die Unterscheidung, nach einer ‚einfachen‘ Darstellung (Simple tense) oder nach einer ‚andauernden‘ Handlung (Progressive tense). Hier die Zeiten im Überblick:

Simple Present
- Simple Present – einfache Gegenwart
- Bildung: Infinitiv
- Beispiele:
- I work. I don’t work. Do I work?
- She jumps. She doesn’t jump. Does she jump?
- Simple Present Progressive – andauernde Gegenwart
- Bildung: Form von ‚be‚ + Infinitiv + ing
- Beispiele:
- I am working. I am not working. Am I working?
- She is jumping. She isn’t jumping. Is she jumping?
- Simple Present Passive
- Bildung: ‚to be‘ + past participle
- Beispiele:
- The red bike is used. (Das rote Fahrrad wird benutzt.)
- The films are watched in history lessons.
Simple Past
- Simple Past – einfache Vergangenheit
- Bildung: Past Participle (Verb mit ‚ed‘ – bei regelmäßigen Verben)
- Beispiel: I worked. I didn’t work. Did I work?
- Beispiel: She jumped. She didn’t jump. Did she jump?
- Simple Past Progressive – laufenden Vergangenheit
- Bildung: Simple Past von ‚be‚ + Infinitiv + ing
- Beispiele:
- I was working. I wasn’t working. Was I working?
- She was jumping. She wasn’t jumping. Was she jumping?
- Simple Past Passive
- Bildung: ‚to be‘ + past participle
- Beispiele:
- The red bike was used.
- I was visited by my teacher.
Present Perfect
- Present Perfect – beendete Gegenwart / gerade eben abgeschlossene Vergangenheit
- Bildung: have + Past Participle (Verb mit ‚ed‘ – bei regelmäßigen Verben)
- Beispiele:
- I have worked. I haven’t worked. Have I worked?
- She has jumped. She hasn’t jumped. Has she jumped?
- Present Perfect Progressive – Verlaufsform der beendeten Gegenwart / Verlaufsform der gerade eben abgeschlossenen Vergangenheit
- Bildung: have + Past Participle von ‚be‘ + Infinitiv + ing
- Beispiele:
- I have been working. I haven’t been working. Have I been working?
- She has been jumping. She hasn’t been jumping. Has she been jumping?
- Present Perfect Passive
- Bildung: has / have + ‚to be‘ + past participle
- Beispiele:
- The red bike has been used.
- I have been told the whole story.
Past Perfect
- Past Perfect – Vor der Vergangenheit.
- Bildung: had + Past Participle (Verb mit ‚ed‘ – bei regelmäßigen Verben)
- Beispiele:
- I had worked. I hadn’t worked. Had I worked?
- She had jumped. She hadn’t jumped. Had she jumped?
- Past Perfect Progressive – Verlaufsform der Vorvergangenheit.
- Bildung: had + Past Participle von ‚be‘ + Infinitiv + ing
- Beispiele:
- I had been working. I hadn’t been working. Had I been working?
- She had been jumping. She hadn’t been jumping. Had she been jumping?
Future 1
Future 1 Present Simple: „will future“
- Future 1 Simple (will future) – Zukunft; nicht beeinflussbar.
- Bildung: will + Infinitiv
- Beispiele:
- I will work. I won’t work. Will I work?
- She will jump. She won’t jump. Will she jump?
- Will-Future – Passive
- Bildung: will / modal + ‚to be‘ + past participle
- Beispiele:
- The bike will be used by Simone, I guess.
- The shop will be closed around that time.
Future 1 Present Simple: „going to future“
- Future 1 Simple (going to future) – Zukunft; beabsichtigt.
- Bildung: Form von ‚be‘ + going to + Infinitiv
- Beispiele:
- I am going to work. I am not going to work. Am I going to work?
- She is going to jump. She is not going to jump. Is she going to jump?
- Going to future passive
- Bildung: going to + be + Past Participle
- Beispiele:
- The holiday is going to be planned in good time.
- The food is going to be delivered.
Future 1 Progressive
- Future 1 Progressive – Verlaufsform der Zukunft.
- Bildung: will + be + Infinitiv + ing
- Beispiele:
- I will be working. I won’t be working. Will I be working?
- She will be jumping. She won’t be jumping. Will she be jumping?
Future 2
- Future 2 (Perfect) Simple – Vollendete Zukunft.
- Bildung: will + have + Past Participle (Verb mit ‚ed‘ – bei regelmäßigen Verben)
- Beispiele:
- I will have worked. I won’t have worked. Will I have worked? She will have jumped. She won’t have jumped. Will she have jumped?
- Future 2 (Perfect) Progressive / Continuous – Verlaufsform der vollendeten Zukunft.
- Bildung: will + have + been + Infinitiv + ing.
- Beispiele:
- I will have been working. I won’t have been working. Will I have been working?
- She will have been jumping. She won’t have been jumping. Will she have been jumping?

Es gibt grundsätzlich 6 englische Zeitformen.
- 3 Zeiten für die Vergangenheit: Present Perfect, Past, Past Perfect
- 1 Zeit für die Gegenwart: Present
- 2 Zeiten für die Zukunft: Futur 1 und Futur 2
Ausgehend vom Present (der Gegenwart) geht man in zurück in die Vergangenheit.
- Stufe: Present Perfect – bedeutet: die Gegenwart ist abgeschlossen.
- Stufe: Past: die einfache Vergangenheit.
- Stufe: Past Perfect: die einfache abgeschlossen Vergangenheit.
Im Englischen gibt es die „Simple tenses“ und die „Progressive tenses“.
